Achieve Success Little by Little

When I was in high school, my math teacher asked my class if we would take a million dollar or just a penny on the first day, double that penny the next day, then double the previous day’s pennies and so on for a month.

If was pretty obvious that almost everyone wanted the million dollar instantly.

It was a trick question.  I thought of taking the million dollars too.  But, someone asked how much would be the total if we took the penny option.

My math teacher was really good.  He said… well, that’s your assignment and you need to figure out how to calculate it.

To keep out complicated math calculations in here, the answer came out to be  $10,737,418.23 – that’s almost 11 million dollars!

Immediately, everyone was willing get a penny on the first day instead the million dollar.

The point in here is that the smaller thing (such as a penny) can make a difference.

A million is a million… and it takes a lot of pennies to make a million.

It’s harder to get a million right away… but it’s easy to get a penny in a heart beat.

What I’m saying is that the little things count.  You don’t need to take big steps every time.  You can just take little steps first.  Then, do many little steps.  It might take you a month… or two months… or two years.

Each little step counts.  They all amount into something and that could be something bigger than you can imagine.

Success has a lot of steps… there are  little ones, medium ones and large ones.

Depending on your success, you might have to do a lot of little steps before you get to the larger ones.

So don’t fret about it.  Do the little steps and do a lot of them.  Keep at it… and in no time, you’ll achieve success.

Pennies makes a million… as little steps leads you to success.  There is no tricks about it.
